Hi all. Yesterday my old Goulds well pump finally died. It got incredibly noisy, sounding like a bearing was going and eventually seized up. I ended up buying what it was replaced with, a J7. It's a 2 pipe system. Got it all installed, charged my tank to about 30psi, primed the pump by dumping water into the body until it was filled to the brim and closed it off. Problem is it can't build pressure past about 10psi. If I close the valve right after the well pump it shoots up to 20psi then starts short cycling maybe 1/2 second cycles bouncing between 15psi and 20. I tried bleeding multiple times, took the pump apart looking for debris, and playing with all the adjustments for when it should kick on or off and nothing has made the littlest difference. Thank you for the help.
