Hello All,
Going to be installing a jet pump soon (Goulds J5S), pulling from a 15 foot well not far from the house. Just wondered if the pump will be quieter sitting on the concrete vs. mounted on the pressure tank, or does it make any difference?

Thanks

The pressure tank does seem to amplify the noise. Sitting on rubber pads on concrete is best. But if you want quite use a submersible.
Okay, thanks. I'll go for the concrete.
I know a submersible is best for noise, and that was the original plan. The jet pump is slightly less expensive. Trying not to be cheap, to use good stuff and do a good job, but the budget is not unlimited and there is a lot more to do.
