Issue with Pex-B stainless crimp ring getting cinched by crimping tool

I am doing some plumbing and a few of the stainless steal crimp rings are getting cinched by the tool it seems, it doesn’t happen all the time just about 2 in 10 see the attached images of one such ring.

Now the join (in this case a plug) doesn’t leak and seems fine but it doesn’t quite feel right to me. Is this a problem and something that might fail or am I overthinking it? I also cant find any photos of bad crimps for these rings on google or anywhere else.

Honestly the Apollo crimp (and its lackluster instructions) kinda sucks and I’m in half a mind to rip out all my work and switch to pex-a
