I goggled this question and read through several websites but I'm still not sure.
I need a drop ear brass fitting for connecting my shower head arm/neck to a 1/2" Wirsbo PEX line. I am remodeling and installing all new fixtures and plumbing. This will be my first time using PEX.
The Wirsbo item is Q4235050 which is listed as 1/2 PEX x 1/2 FIP.
My shower head arm/neck says it is 1/2" thread (doesn't specify NTP or FIP) but in searching for a longer arm I find they are all measured/advertised in NPT.
So, is Female Iron Pipe the same thing a National Pipe Tapered Thread?
