Intermatic FM/1 timer losing time

I am struggling with this timer losing time. The timer controls a sprinkler that is attached to my OSSF. This is an aerobic septic system that pumps out through sprinklers. I began to see the sprinklers running at odd times. The current time setting on the timer was losing time. I replaced the timer but it did not fix the problem. I suspect the timer clock motor is losing power intermittently. I am going to check all connections next. Could the breakers be bad?

**UPDATE** This problem is solved. The new timer was missing a jumper between posts 2 & 3. Soldered one in and all is well.

Interesting. Looking at http://www.intermatic.com/~/media/Intermatic/Documentation/Specifier Guide/013_FM 1 Series_2pg.ashx it is not obvious how that explains the intermittent symptoms, but it is very good that you fixed it.

Unless YOU had it wired incorrectly, that should have had nothing to do with the timer motor. Terminals 3, 4, and 5 are "load" terminals and only switch the "power" to the device, (which could be ANY voltage, or AC, or DC), which has NOTHING to do with the clock motor
