Hi All -
I'm moving my laundry room to the second floor very close to the garage and my inspector suggested running the (emergencies only) floor drain straight into the garage (so that I would notice if there was a leak). Especially given how complicated it would be to tie into the waste stack and then needing to prime the trap, I think it is the best option. My question: any ideas how to keep the cold air from the garage out while still allowing it to drain? I'm considering a rubber floor trap seal (like the one linked below) but I've heard they may restrict the flow too much. Any other thoughts?
