Hello

I've opened up the backside of my shower to access the area behind the existing shower rough-in. My plan is to have the plumber install a new Moen rough-in. Should I remove more drywall to ensure the plumber has enough space to work? How about removing more drywall from the left side so that he can cut out the horizontal 2x4 between the studs?

Thanks for the assistance.

You should have cut the drywall from stud to stud...easier to re-use the piece you cut out when you're done with the plumbing.
