Installing a garbage disposal to a single drain sink

Does the disposal drain go directly to the existing p trap line? My dishwasher is also hooked up to the air gap line that drains to the disposal

The output of the disposal goes to the p-trap. If installing a new disposal, make sure to punch out the cap inside of the dishwasher inlet first.

An air gap is safer than a high loop, so that's good.
