I had a water filter (Pentek Gs-6ro) installed in a drinking fountain quite some time ago. I would like to get into changing it more frequently. I just looked up the filter that was placed and it doesn't seem to be readily available. My question, is there an inline filter that will work the same and should it have the 'quick fit' attachments? It appears to me that the fittings are on the copper pipe, but the image of this filter online doesn't look like it has anything to twist onto. I can't see how it's connected and don't really want to take this one off without a new one to put in. Thank for any help anyone can provide!

That model filter is a granular activated carbon (GAC) coconut shell filter that reduces chlorine taste and offensive odor.
It seems the quick fit fittings (John Guest fittings) screw into both threaded ends of the filter.
The link below indicates it has been discontinued.

Perhaps there was a specific model with the John Guest fittings built-in. Here is a photo showing 1/4" connectors.

There are other brands of inline filter which also contain coconut shell GAC.
