If they are steel porcelain they should be ok. If they are a molded fiberglass, they are trash.

Ok visually one can tell the difference between porcelain and fiberglass?
Cast iron and steel attract a magnet, if you are not used to seeing the difference.

Steel is lighter, and not as rigid. You would probably not want to reclaim a steel tub, since those are the cheaper ones.

From the pictures the bottom one is definitely fiberglass resin, the top one also looks like fiberglass resin. If it was steel, the top edge would show rust.

ok so if its fiberglass its trash correct?
Many prefer good fiberglass. It's a lot easier to carry than cast iron.

I have been presuming used tubs. Are they new, but just stored in the yard for a year?

Usually, bathtubs like these do not have much UV protection. It’s not the fiberglass, its the acrylic finish that deteriorates. You’ll need to really look at them to determine if they are ok. The seller may say a year, could be 2 years?
