Hello,

First post.

Removed a brick chimney that ran through both our washrooms and now going to do a little renovation.

Found this little gem. Can anyone tell me what it is and its function?

Thanks for the help.

A vacuum breaker with a chrome finish, so it is probably designed to be exposed and seen (like a flushometer (should be called flushomatic imo)). I wonder what it is for?

Well this is an old washroom (25+ years). Seems like one main cold feed from basement and this feeds the bathtub, sink and toilet. This was buried in the wall.
Can't see all the pipes though.
