Install a 2" trap arm with a trap that is open on the top with a 2x3 funnel that is secured to the corner of the cabinet. Then high loop the discharge hose that is connected to some form of hard pipe that you secure to the wall and direct to the center of the funnel to ensure Less splashing out. I would practice the pump discharge to see how much and how forceful the pump is to know how to decrease the splashing (if any)

Drain to the basement somewhere. Other than that. You need a standpipe with a cup that goes all the way to the bottom of the counter top (almost).

BMrowe , glad you contacted manufacture. use of an an Air Gap means that open sewer gas will come into the house if its connected on the wrong side of ptrap. So I dont think any one will argue that if an airgap is used that the connection to the trap arm would be acceptable
