After a bathroom reno I am replacing the toilet flange to the 3" abs. Is there an advantage to using one type of fitting over the other of the flange? I see the spigot flange being more failsafe if the fitting wasn't properly bonded since it is sitting inside the pipe. However is the reduced inside diameter of the spigot fitting compared to a flange with a hub fitting more likely to plug? Thanks

The spigot is the same as pipe size; therefore it isn't reduced.
Whether you would use spigot or hub depends on the pipe or fittings.
I tend to use hub flanges most of the time.
