I don't pressure test CPVC in homes. Maybe others do. If it's holding water at 50-80 PSI, I'm good with it.
thank you for the reply I also had that belief until I had a 3/4 inch tee fitting blow in my house after 30 days of holding normal water pressure, in my opinion there was no glue on it. since this happened in the middle of the night there was significant damage to my ceiling so now I am worried there might be another fitting like that. the water has how been on for four more weeks with no more problems but still concerned.

The people that make the stuff say do not air pressure test the stuff. If you want to pressure test it, use water. Not everyone has the stuff needed to raise the water pressure above the supply pressure.
