image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Hello,
I have a 1920's Kohler Virtreous China Pedestal Sink from an old Brooklyn apartment. I want to install it into another bathroom, but I've read that pre 1930's pedestal sinks don't use mounting hardware that is used today. I don't have the original mounting hardware to secure the basin, which weighs a ton. I've searched online and can't find anyone that can help me figure out how to secure this sink to the wall and where I can find the hardware to mount it to the wall? The photos show the back, underside and pedestal of the sink. I'd love any kind of help or advice!!
Thank You, Leeann

The sink just sits on the pedestal. THe sink was fastened to the wall with chrome 90 degree angle brackets which secured to the sink, with toggle bolts, through the two openings in the rear corners of the bottom.

Thank you hj for answering. Do you have an example with a photo or link to the hardware you're referring to? Are they like shelf brackets or small L-shaped one that hook into the back slots underneath?

The are "L" shaped and bolt to the holes in the bottom of the sink using toggle bolts.

And below is an interesting sink from 1920.
