Going to try to brief.
Started with:
Fujitsu Halcyon ducted system, model ARU18RLF
Wired controller, UTY-RNBYU_M
Bought and installed:
IR remote: UTY-LRHUM
(This is an infrared remote control. The kit consists of two pieces, the IR receiver and the IR remote, plus cables that you have to wire from the main unit to wherever you mount the receiver. )
Everything went smoothly, the new remote is properly wired, and everything works. The problem is I can’t disconnect the wired remote without getting a system-disabling error (error 12, a “wired remote control communication error.”) That’s clear enough, but I don’t know how to “tell” the system that I don’t want to use the wired remote. I tried disconnecting it from the circuit board (CN14 on the board, red/white/black wires) and that didn’t alleviate the error. It seems that there must be some config step I’m missing to disable the wired remote while keeping the wireless unit functioning.
Thanks!
