How to connect this faucet to the water supply line

I haven't run into this type of thread for a single faucet. How do I connect it to the water supply line? It's 1/2 in and almost square without threads on some of it. When I tighten with a regular 1/2 in supply line water sprays everywhere. Please help.

The standard 1/2" FIP connector should work on that. Make sure you install it cleanly without any tape.

You are NOT getting it screwed on "straight". Make sure you line it up with the connector and it will screw on and seal. BEcause of the "missing" section, it is very easy to "cross thread" it.

Backed it out and re threaded it and worked. Kinda feel not smart but thanks and it totally worked. Thanks!!!!!
