I had a leak that required re piping. The old stack was tucked away in a closet and when the re pipe was done, my new stack was in an opposite corner of the room with lots of exposed black sewer pipe. For two weeks my plumber told me there were no other options, even when I found second and third opinions that said they could wet vent the bathroom and get everything tucked back in the closet. Finally I hired another company to do so and my original company called them and asked them how to do it and then offered me to do it cheaper. Two weeks later, their estimate is actually $1500 more than my second opinion. This would in total be costing me $22k. $14.6 for the original job and $8k to re do it.
