I have a dripping shower, but looking at this shower handle for a bit, I see no hidden screw or other mechanism to remove it. There is also no brand information. Is anyone familiar with this setup and how to remove it so I can check the washers, etc. for damage?

You unscrew the chrome "cap" on top of the handle. The screw is underneath it.
Thanks! Just to confirm do you mean the thin section before the ridged "grip" section? Or do you mean all the way down to wear the temperature setting is?

"You can use a charge card to scrape any stubborn residue after soaking."

What if they don't have a credit card, can they use a debit card?
I use my thumb nail.

Other than that...good post with good info.

Those little plastic things (around 1 inch square) that are used on bread bags can be useful for scraping too.
