Help with plumbing Terminology.

I am expanding my existing kitchen to make it bigger. Because i am the homeowner the city has allowed me to do the work myself. I need to fill out an form stating all I have done in regards to plumbing. All i have done is extended the original sewer about 20 feet in the same direction as the preexistent and done the same with the water line using pex. as well as added an air vent. What is the proper terminology on that. As I have failed inspection once because it didn't look like the "testing" was done and it was using air pressure.
