Hello,

First time posting here. I’m renovating a half bath on my first floor (basement and crawl space below with access to all the plumbing) and I’m having some issues. I’m moving my washer and dryer upstairs and had a plumber come in and rough in the drain and vent. Problem is trying to go thru the sill plate wouldn’t fly because of what is below and the drain elbows out and goes thru my subfloor. I think I need to build the wall out to conceal my drain and vent stack. I’ve roughed one the vanity stuff as well and think it looks good. Doesn’t leak! But this isn’t my strongest suit. Tried to keep it clean. Thoughts on the work? I did pull a permit and this will all need to pass inspection. See pictures.

glad i found this. i'm having a very similar issue where i have to relocate my washing machine. i can get the drain worked out but can not run a vent through the roof.
your way would solve that but just wondering if you have any smells coming out of the vent seeing as how it goes to your drain but there is nothing to keep smells from coming up.
also, is this allowed by code? i wasnt able to find anything and i hear people going both ways on these valves.
also ended up getting the same outlet box haha

It's a one way valve. Let's air in, doesn't let gas out. They do fail though which is why they need to be accessible.

Wonder if OP ever passed inspection with that unshielded fernco on the lav drain?
