First time setting up a water softener and I have limited knowledge about softener programming. I'd really appreciate it if someone could take a look at my current settings and let me know if anything should be changed or optimized.

- Resin: 1.5 ft³, 10% cross-linked resin (not sure which brand unfortunately)
- Tank rating: 48,000 grains
- Household: Usually 2 people, occasionally 3 on weekends
- Water source: Municipal water
- Measured hardness: 13 gpg using a Hach 5B test
- Programmed hardness: 15 gpg
- Softened-water usage: Approximately 90–100 gal/day
- Day override: 14 days
- Regeneration time: 2:00 AM
- Volume capacity: AUTO
- Regeneration option: NORMAL + on 0
- Direction: Downflow (dn)
- Refill: PoST
Current regeneration settings:
- Capacity: 24,000 grains
- Salt dose: 7.0 lb/regeneration
- Cycle 1: Backwash — 8 min
- Cycle 2: Regenerate — 60 min, dn
- Cycle 3: Backwash — 8 min
- Cycle 4: Rinse — 4 min
- Cycle 5: Fill — 7.0 lb
