Anyone know how this Grohe handle comes off? I'm assuming the plastic cover comes off to expose the screw but I can't get it to budge? I was able to get a thin flat screwdriver under the edge but it won't move. Since it is a 2004 model I really don't want to damage the cover since I probably won't be able to get another.

Looking around, it looks like this might be a Hansgrohe Carlton valve (as I understand, they are separate companies).

Is there a plug under the valve, where a screw might be?
I know it's not exactly yours, but this drawing seems to imply some sort of screw at the bottom. Possibly once that is off, it then pulls off?

https://www.faucetdirect.com/hansgr...rim-with-metal-cross-handle-less-valve/p37642 look here under manufacturer resources.

There's also this, which seems to show a possible screw hole cover?

The handle looks the same, but the dome part does look a little different, so I don't know 100%.
