Help removing an (unknown brand) shower handle

Hi folks,

I'm trying to remove the handle in our shower because the shower is dripping. I got as far as the second picture (removing the temperature handle and unscrewing the center screw) but the rest of the handle won't budge. Is there some trick I'm missing, or do I just need to pull really hard, or something else?
