There is an existing 2 inch copper drain & vent for the original washer machine. I have a washing machine box with drain in the middle. When I installed a 2-in trap it butts up against the stud and there's an offset with the washing machine tail piece and the p-trap. My question is can I offset the tailpiece with 2 45's?

Yes, you can use two 45s in the standpipe upstream of the p-trap. I have no opinion whether middle or low is better, or it doesn't matter.

Cheers, Wayne

I was curious if this would be considered an S Trap or cause venting issues
