I have a Hellenbrand iron curtain 2 and the aeration tank has a plastic part the water sprays out of to aerate. This gets gunked up and reduces flow and pressure. Anyone come up with a way to flush this out without disassembly? Even then the deposits are very hard to remove. Even a soak in strong iron out solution did not clean it.

Would a full size ‘T’ and drain in the pipe between the tanks flush this out or just be a leak risk?

I do not have a chlorine injection system.

thanks is for your thoughts

I don't know your configuration or that system. However I am thinking that if you can cause water to circulate from the drain valve at the pressure tank, and get pushed out to a 5-gallon bucket, you could drive your solution into the drain valve with a sump pump or utility pump. Let it run solution through the sprayer and tank for a good while. Swap solution, and run for another while. Then rinse well, before putting your water system back into service.
