A 60,000 BTU furnace in a 1,008 sq ft well-sealed house is roughly 2x oversized. Even dialed down to 45,600 BTU via the jumper it's still heavy. Short cycling reduces efficiency and puts more wear on the heat exchanger than longer steadier runs would.
If the house is truly well air-sealed as described, a proper Manual J would likely put the heating load somewhere in the 20,000–30,000 BTU/hr range for Michigan at design temp.
