Sometimes the drain in a bathroom sink (lav) drain gets slow. Long hair is sometimes the cause. Options can be cutting the hair shorter, or every so often, pulling the stopper out and pushing some paper towels down and through with a stick.

First put a bowl under the drain,
Remove the bend on the p-trap,
Remove the stopper, meaning often you will remove the rod in the back and lift out the stopper.
You can then see straight down into your bowl below. Taking a wad of paper, push the paper down through the drain and into the bowl below.
Then reassemble everything.

See how much cleaner the drain is now?

With the stopper out, the p-trap removed, a bit of paper towel pushed through with a stick into a pan below cleaned it up. Then the p-trap was reinstalled, the stopper put back in.
