Hello all, new to this forum. I just bought a Liberty SJ10 back-up sump pump and the water input it 3/4in. I have a 1/2in water line that runs right above my sump and further away (about 15ft) there is a 3/4in water line. My question is can I T off of the 1/2 line and expand it to 3/4in to sump pump? Will I loose pressure by doing this? Or should I just T off the 3/4in water line and run a much longer distance. thanks!

Use the 3/4".
Per the instructions: "To achieve maximum performance from the SumpJet, it is recommended that the unit is plumbed with 3/4” pipe".

The pump uses a ton of water in operation and needs the 3/4 to get the volume required to make it work correctly.
