Manufacturers install manuals are written for the proper operation. Motor in the horizontal. Need to reposition the motor for easier wiring. Shows in the install manual.Drain or valve valve off system or pump and loosen four screws.

In the case of those Grundfos boxes they want splash protection, but the next paragraphs refer to what I was speaking to, which all wet rotor circulators need to heed re air.
