I believe I have a grinder pump in my backyard. It's about 2 ft diameter made of concrete with a light bulb in the middle. My quest is: can I raise this? I'm have a retaining wall put in and my backyard filled in to make it somewhat level. The pump sits pretty low. Can it be raised?
Thanks

You cannot raise a grinder pump pit. The pit is fed by gravity.

Grinder pump pits have pumps inside. They don't normally have light bulbs. What causes you to think you have a grinder pit?

Do you have a permit to raise your yard? You are normally not allowed to raise your yard, changing the water flow to run the water into your neighbors yards.
