I'm looking to replace my current 4" submersible well pump. I've read lots of great info on this forum, so thank you to everyone for the valuable information. In reading about the Cycle Stop Valves (CSV) i'm planing on installing one with our new pump. I've read that the Goulds GS has a "Floating Stack Design" and the Sta-Rite HS has a "Floating Impeller Design". Is it correct to come to the conclusion that the Goulds GS would be a better built pump for use with a Cycle Stop Valve (CSV)? Is either pump better for being longer lasting, expecialy if sand or silt were ever to appear in the well ?

Goulds P/N 10GS05412C

Sta-Rite P/N S10P4HS05221

Thank you,

Steve
