I have a 4 yr old water softener that is continually draining... finding someone to work on this thing has proven impossible. I really couldn't tell you how long it's been doing this because I didn't even start looking at it until it threw an ERR3 code last week. I've replaced the switch, which made the blue light stop flashing and everything SEEMS normal BUT but the draining continues at a slow drain. Could someone please tell me what I should check? Also, before the whole ERR3 code problem, we were having occasional salty water in the mornings, that would clear up after about 3 min or so. Maybe we should just chuck the whole unit and replace it...? The thing worked really well..until it didn't. Well- except for the whole salty water thing.
