Hi all, so I bought a drop in drain kit which has a cast iron body (in green). I need to connect it to a 2" cast iron p-trap. I wasn't sure how or what material to use to make that connection. I can't use PVC or any plastics. The p-trap is no hub and the drain kit would take 2" MPT fitting.

I was thinking I could put a 2" no hub coupling on the p-trap, then "Something/pipe" that can be on the other end of the no hub and screw into the drain kit.

That "Something/pipe" is what I'm struggling with.

Not sure what to use or what material. Maybe short piece of 2" brass that's threaded on only 1 end? Also for the treaded connection into the drain kit, would I used PFTE tape?

Thanks.
