Years ago I had a free software application that I used to layout walls and windows and doors and place appliances, plumbing (sink, commode) fixtures and such with sufficient precision to let me convert spaces, expand rooms, add bathrooms, convert a carport into a garage run phone and cable and AC wiring and so forth with confidence in the measurements.
The laptop I had it on died and I cannot recall the name of the program. Id/l Home Designer (trial) and it worked - for my needs the price they want is only justified if one needs all the (to my mind) 'extras' (Roofing, Landscaping, basements, second floors . . . ).
Anyone recommend an application I should look at?
