Float switch circuit protection

Hi,

I'm in the process of re-wiring a control panel in a wellhouse. One of the things that I'm concerned about is the circuit protection for the float switch wiring.

I see that most suggested float circuits such as this one below tie off of a leg going to the pump. This means that the float circuit wiring is protected by the same circuit breaker as the pump motor. The circuit breaker needed to satisfy safety requirements for a 30A pump are very different than for a switch circuit to open/close a relay (~0.5A). Isn't this a concern?

Does anyone put a smaller circuit breaker here to protect the float circuit?

Not normally done, but you could add a pair 5 (or so) amp in-line fuses if it bothers you.
