Can flexible rubber couplings be used by code underground. I have to join a abs to a pvc pipe in a private sewer system in Albeta Canada. Cant find the answer to this code question. I am trying to join two 4" pipes together and this rubber coupling will be ideal if its allowed underground. I purchased a unshielded rubber coupling, now i wonder if its ok. This job will be inspected by code inpector. Thanks
