Hello Water Softener Experts!

Could someone please review my system and current settings and let me know what I should change for the perfect balance. I appreciate your time!

Controller: Fleck 5600SXT
Tank Size: 1248 –with 10% Resin (I think it’s sold as a 64K but if I calculate it turns out to be a 56K)
Brine Tank: 15 x 17 x 36
Water Type: City
Location: Tampa, FL
Hardness: 15 GPG
Iron: None
BLFC: 0.5
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Current Flex 5600 SXT Settings:

DF = Gal
VT = dF1b
CT = Fd
NT = 1
C = 46
H = 15
RS = SF
SF = 10
DO = 28
RT = 2:00
BW = 10
Bd = 60
RR = 10
BF = 10
FM = P0.7

Thanks Again!!!!

The appropriate tank dimension for 2 ft3 resin (64,000 grains total capacity) is 12" X 52" . It is possible there was 2 ft3 resin installed within that 48" tank without gravel under bedding, but I will assume 1.75 ft3 with gravel under bedding to be likely, as did you.

DF = Gal
VT = dF1b
CT = Fd
NT = 1
C = 42 (Capacity to be regenerated based on an efficient and balanced 8 lbs/ft3 salt setting)
H = 15 (The hardness in a city system can frequently vary depending on city water demand. Suggest testing at your location specifically and add 2 GPG to the test result to anticipate occaisions when hardness may be higher)
RS = SF Suggest changing to 'rc' so as to use a Fixed Reserve Capacity quantity instead of a percentage of capacity
SF = 10 Further to previous comment, change to FC and enter 1-day estimated water consumption in gallons.
DO = 28
RT = 2:00
BW = 10 (maybe reduced to 6-minutes as the water is likely free of sediment)
Bd = 60
RR = 10 (maybe reduced to 6-minutes to save water)
BF = 10 (10 minutes is correct to provide sufficient brine to regenerate 42,000 grains capacity)
FM = P0.7

Are you sure you have a paddlewheel? Check link below.

System info (not programmed)
salt lb/cuft = 7.5 ; A choice ( efficiency vs capacity)
BLFC = 0.5 ; Brine Refill rate GPM
cubic ft resin = 2 ; ft3 resin = (nominal grains)/32,000
Compensated hardness = 17 ; including any compensation
People = 2 ; gallons affects reserve calc
Estimated gal/day = 120 ; 60 gal per person typical calc
Estimated days/regen = 22.59 ; Computed days including reserve
Fleck 5600SXT Settings:
DF = Gal ; Units
VT = dF1b ; Downflw/, Single Backwash, black cam
CT = Fd ; Meter Delayed regen trigger
NT = 1 ; Number of tanks
C = 46 ; capacity in 1000 grains
H = 17 ; Hardness-- compensated from 15
RS = rc ; rc says use gallons vs percent
RC = 120 ; Reserve capacity gallons (Adjust if appropriate)
DO = 28 ; Day Override (28 if no iron)
RT = 2:00 ; Regen time (default 2 AM)
BW = 5 ; Backwash (minutes)
Bd = 60 ; Brine draw minutes
RR = 5 ; Rapid Rinse minutes
BF = 10 ; Brine fill minutes
FM = ____0.7 ; https://terrylove.com/forums/index.php?attachments/img_fleck5600sxt_flow-png.31592/
