Hello,

I am looking to correct some issues with my basement laundry plumbing and also add a laundry sink at the same time. Currently, my washing machine drains into a standpipe with trap and then directly into the main stack right before it exits the building. The standpipe is NOT currently vented. House was built in 1912 (I assume plumbing added later) and the venting configuration leaves a lot to be desired. Tying into the main vent stack from this location would be cost prohibitive so I am looking at alternatives.

I could add an AAV to the washer branch but those are technically not allowed in MA. I am fine using them under sinks where they are hidden but don't feel so comfortable having one somewhere it would be more easily noticed.

My current plan is to install a laundry sink with pump (as sink would sit below where main line exits the building) and then drain the washer into the sink. The pumps don't require any sort of vent so I should be okay on that front. I could then tie into the horizontal portion of the main line before it turns down to vertical.

I am open to any thoughts and suggestions or things I may not be thinking of. Some pics below. Thanks!

What would be the correct way to connect to the main line? A wye in the horizontal portion before it turns down to vertical? The pump I want to use requires ~6 ft of height after the check valve which is about the height I have.

Any concerns discharging the washing machine into it? I am basically following this video starting around 2:30

Here's what I've got so far. Let me know if anything is blatantly incorrect so I can fix it. I turned the wye up a little more than I intended so it's a bit messier than I would like.
