Have a well water level starts at 170' ends 380' pump is set at 297'. Water has a wonderful taste and very clear except when there is lots of rain over several days then it turns light brown and looks like pee in a toilet but taste doesn't change or its hardness. Have a big blue housing 4.5x20 with a 1 micron glass spun filter and cold tap in kitchen have another 1 micron filter 10" housing and water still comes out dirty. Changed filters in the bottom of big blue there was .5 to 1 oz of rust and it was magnetic and element light brown all the way through. Pump is piped with galvanized and pump was replaced 6 years ago along with 168' of pipe because it was rusty and had a few holes in it. What do i need to clear this up and get it tested .

Sounds like you may a well problem. The sealing may be letting surface water in. Of course it may be the nature of your aquifer, and then the treatment is the best you can do.

Does your casing extend above ground, or do you have a pit? If a pit, that explains it.

Also, the next time you get your pump pulled, have them replace the galvanized pipe with PVC.

with a 1 micron glass spun filter
More likely polypropylene or polyester.
