Just an fyi for anybody thinking about it, I would suggest a 4 1/2" angle grinder with a thin masonary cut off wheel. It cut the Fiberglass like butter and I had total depth control. Now the dust, that's another story, wear a good HEPA respirator.

I am going to have a cast iron tub put in and tile around it. The only issue I had was the pipe leading to the p-trap broke, strange I did not move the drain much other than some vibration? Oh well, the new drain was not going to match up anyways. Any suggestions for getting the end of the broken ABS pipe out of the T-joint? Somebody told me pros use a cutter that will remove the broken piece to the OD of a new pipe? Seems easier than cutting in a new t-joint?? Open to any other suggestions.

Looks like the plumber is going to have a difficult job installing the drain from the top.

    here are some pics.

Thanks, I will make sure they use one of these. Is there one that holds on to the outside of the t-joint to centedthe cutter to cut square? It seems like you would have to ensure you are holding the drill perfectly level to only remove the the bad material? Perhaps it's just practice? If there is a little play afterwards will the glue take up that area? I know this is not a pressure joint but I don't want any leaks.
