Our builder installed a concentrix vent outside our house. We asked them to fix it because it was too low to the ground if we had a big snowfall.

So they split the vent for intake and exhaust. See pictures. There is no screen or anything at the ends. Is this acceptable?

Splitting the vent and the intake is fine. How is condensate being handled? Via pump or through the exhaust? Some appliances need to exhaust a certain distance from an inside corner as well. Each gas appliance installation instructions usually come with a diagram like this that shows clearances of the exhaust.
