Hello,
I'm thinking about having my outbuildings service panel moved further away from the utility pole. The service cable is buried.
Would the electrician be able to splice on an additional length of cable, or would it require an entirely new length of cable from the transformer to the service panel?
Sorry about my poor terminology, I'm not an electrician. I'm just trying to figure out what my options are.

Thanks for your help

Yes they can splice them. It has to be accessible. Hopefully they don't just use a wire nut, lol.
