Expansion tank has fallen to horizontal

My Bradford water heater is appox. 7 years old and is not leaking, The expansion tank was upright above the tank but has fallen 90 degrees to horizontal. resting on the tank, with a kink in the connecting tube to the water heater. Seeking advice. Thanks.

Kinked doesn't sound good, but the path to the tank does not have to be large. Flow rates are small. More worrisome is if that could lead to a leak.

That kink is in line with the supply to the WH -- not the path to the expansion tank.

I think you should get that fixed soon, and have the expansion tank properly supported in the process.
