Expansion/contraction of PVC

I’m about to dig a trench for a suction pipe in a shallow well. The amount of pipe that will be underground will be about 60’ and pretty straight. I’ll be using the bell end 1-1/4” in 20’ sections. Do I need to worry about the pipe growing and shrinking and possibly breaking? More info would be I live in South Carolina. Seems to me that the water in the pipe would be about the same temp if used on a regular basis and this would keep the pipe stable.

I am thinking you would not want to close your trench in the hottest part of the day, but maybe wait until the next morning.
