So I’m putting in a new water softener and have to run a drain line the whole way from my basement to my washing machine wall box on the first floor. It was the only drain option I had trust me I tried other ways. Problem is, to get it to the washing Machine drain wall box (that will have the air gap adapter for washing machine hose and softener hose) it has to first go up 4 ft then horizontal 30 ft, then up 4 ft again. The softener i got is a fleck 5600 sxt 48,000. Now I know the minimum you can go up vertical is 8 ft and max horizontal you can go is 30 ft. So I’m wondering if I’ll be ok in my situation? I plan on using 3/4” instead of 1/2” and I’m using PE4710 polyethylene tubing for the whole run. I’m just worried about friction and back pressure from such a long and high run. I can always try it and see if it works but how will I know that it is functioning properly and actually draining all the salty water after regeneration? Any advice would be great. Thank you!
