Hi All,

Does anyone know of an electric hot water tank that can service a 2700 SFT home? assume 2 1/2 bath kitchen no other hot water using appliances

If there is one have you had any bad experiences with them?

Thanks!

An electric Tank type heater can work...an electric tankLESS system, IMHO, is a joke except maybe for a single sink. It would be more of like an industrial power input to be able to supply enough hot water via an electric tankless system.

A fairly common GAS tankless system uses about a 200K BTU burner. Converting that to Kw-hr means 58.9Kwhr, and at 240vac input, equals about a 246-amp device...way more than most typical homes have for the rest of the whole place and a huge peak load that your utility would likely charge you a significant premium for to be able to support...IOW, not going to happen.

Forget an electric tankless system, and depending on where you live, a gas one may or may not be a good choice, either.
