Hello,

What are the differences between the cast iron effluent pumps vs a 4" motor effluent pumps?

Currently have a MW100-21 in a pump pit after a septic tank that is used to lift the effluent up the hill to a leach field.
Whenever the time comes to replace it, is there any advantage to using one of the 4" style pumps, such as the Franklin Electric C1 series 30gpm model?

Just looking to see what differences there may be.

Most effluent pumps are high volume, low pressure, made just to de-water a sump. The 4" pumps are low volume, high pressure so they can run sprinklers and things like that.
