Quick question , when the Heat is on (electric) why does the outside unit fan blowing ?
I know it blows when the AC is on obviously , but why when the Heat is on ?

To bring the warmer outside air through the coils to heat the freon.

If it is zero degrees F outside, and you are generating heat from a heat pump, the outside coils are colder than the outside air.

Ok thanks.
Outside temps 40 degrees , inside temp was 68 , turned on the Heat set at 73 degrees .
Outside fan has ran since I turned the Heat on.
Last house with same Fujitsu system either never noticed or just didn't pay attention.

We've had problems with this new one since it was put in last March ! Not cooling properly
We are not happy / satisfied with this time around with the same system set up.

Tech have been out several times trying to troubleshoot why the system isn't running right.
Each time the freon level was not in spect when he checked, so it has an internal leak or ???
Having the same tech and a tech support tech out this week , but now that temps are in the 50'-60 and not in the high 90's low 100's not sure what they will do ?
Personally I want the whole system replaced or go with a reg system and not the ducted mini split !
It has never ran right from day one...

Minis run all the time unless below setpoint by 2-3° cooling or above heating, then they shut off. What problems are u having?

From about 2 weeks after it was installed it we noticed with the T-St set at 74 on auto the inside temp would never get down to 74.
It would never ramp up just stayed on low and get no lower than 76 degrees until early hours in the AM.
Turn it down to 70 and it would take all day to get down to 75 not once ramp up and no codes on the T-stat screen.
Tech has been out at least 4-5 times each time on phone with tech support telling him check this check that .Last 2 times the tech was out he found the freon level low he said the desired pressure was 9.8
So he has completely vac system and started out adding new to get to the 9.8 .
And as usual it never changed anything , however if I turn it manually on I can turn it on high and the inside fan does ramp up.
With an infrared I get 60.7 at the vent with 73.5 at the intake . With outside temps mid 90's .

Brand and model of indoor and outdoor equipment. Haven't seen a mini with electric strip heat. If unit is short on refrigerant there is a leak and it has to found and repaired. Repair involves reclaiming the refrigerant, pressuring system to 500 lbs of nitrogen, evacuate the system below 500 microns and weighing the charge in. Take a pic of thermostat.
