A corroded and clogged foot valve led to hubby replacing the entire drop pipe system. After putting the new drop pipe down (w/ assembly.. new foot valve, ejector, etc), he ran water down the pipe just to be sure we didn't have any issues like leaks. The water just kept on going, as if the foot valve wasn't stopping the water from going out. Ideas? Thoughts? Is there something missing on our assembly? or is there something specifically on the foot valve we should check?

- We verified the well does have water
- We are a good 15 ft below the water table
- When we pulled the new pipe back out the first time everything still looked good.

Pulled the pipe back out and ran a water hose down it to see where the water was coming out. It's coming out of the jet assembly. Not sure if we have a check valve missing at the top of this piece or what. Thoughts?

There should be a foot valve on the end of the packer ejector. The foot valve is probably not holding. It could also be the leathers if they are not making a tight seal.

does that packer have a foot valve built into it? if not you need to install one on the bottom thread of the packer. also soak the leathers in hot water for awhile before you put it back down the well. also is the casing pvc or steel pipe if steel the casing my have a hole rusted into it.
